Valerie Michelle Nix, age 56, of Fort Smith, Arkansas, passed away on Sunday, July 27, 2025, at Mercy Hospital in Fort Smith. Valerie was born on September 13, 1968, in El Dorado, Arkansas, to William and Patsy (Meyers) Nix. She graduated from Mustang High School in 1987. A woman of deep faith, Valerie was always striving to grow closer to God and was a devoted member of the House of Restoration Church in Fort Smith.
She had a passionate love for college football, especially cheering on her beloved Boomer Sooners. Above all, Valerie adored her children and was a radiant source of love, comfort, and strength to everyone around her. She will be remembered as an extraordinary mother, full of unwavering support and unconditional love - truly a "Boomer Sooner baby" through and through.
Valerie is survived by her beloved fiance', Everett Aldridge; her cherished children, Ashley Means and Alex Hobbs; her siblings, Mike Nix and David Wells; her stepfather, Elvie Wells; and a dear friends, Natalie Kerr and Kim Nemeth. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Patsy Nix, and her brother, Roger Nix. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 23, 2025, at the House of Restoration Church, 2201 South 46th Street, Fort Smith, Arkansas, with Pastor Devrow officiating. To plant a beautiful memorial tree in memory of Valerie, please visit our Tree Store.
