Vicky Usrey was born on August 10, 1947, in Monroe, Louisiana, and was welcomed to her heavenly home on August 6, 2024, In Monroe, Louisiana. Vicky loved God and sharing his love. She was an amazing lady that loved her family and cooking for them. Vicky enjoyed painting, crocheting, music and writing poetry and devotionals. She worked as a CNA for many years, prior to retiring. Vicky is preceded in death by her husband, George William "Pete" Usrey; parents, Cecil and Violet Martin; sister, Sandy Hendrix; and grandparents, Henry and Delis Martin, and Ward and Corine Allen.
Vicky is survived by daughter, Twyla Moreland and her husband, Brad; son, Scott Boyd and his wife, Heather; grandson, Malachi Boyd; granddaughter, Madison Boyd; sister, Tanya Waggoner and her husband, Kenneth; brother, Allen Martin and his wife, Lynn, Wayne Martin and his wife, Kathy; niece, Katrina Waggoner Phillips; nephew, Shawn Waggoner; and grand-dogs, Slade and Kuna Moreland; along with other extended family and friends.
Pallbearers will be Michael Jowers, Randy Russell, Randy Christy, Russ Boles, Nick Roberson and Pete Pierce. Honorary pallbearers will the 600 hall staff of the West Monroe Guest House.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the 600 hall staff of the West Monroe Guest House.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
