Victor William Brizendine, III passed away on May 20th, 2025. He was born in Louisville on September 16th, 1946, the son of his wonderful parents, Mary Rose and Victor Brizendine, Jr.
Vic attended St. Vincent DePaul and St. Raphael grade schools, and graduated from St. Xavier High School, class of 1964. He was also a graduate of Xavier University, Mount St. Mary's Seminary of the West and the University of Louisville Brandeis School of Law in 1975.
He was a distinguished attorney who practiced law for over 50 years (1975 - 2025) in Shelbyville, KY. He was honored as U of L School of Law's Outstanding Alumni in 2008 and Golden Alumni Society member for 50+ years of practicing law.
Vic was also a member of the Board of Directors & Executive Board at UofL School of Law Alumni; founder of U of L School of Law's regional alumni clubs for Frankfort and Shelbyville; president of Saint Xavier High School's Parent Teacher Association; member St. Francis Xavier Society and Theodore James Ryken Society; president of the Shelby County Chamber of Commerce and Shelby County Jaycees; and fellow of the Kentucky Bar Association Foundation.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his loving wife, Charlotte; his sons, Clay (Heather), Kyle (Krystyna) and Chad (Leslie); and his grandchildren, Savannah, Katrina and Hazel Brizendine; Konrad and Klara Brizendine; and Rylan and Oakley Brizendine. He is also survived by his brother, Richard Brizendine (Pam); nephews, Todd Brizendine (Mikki); Matt Brizendine (Jen); and his niece, Rebekah Brizendine.
His funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., on Saturday, May 24th, 2025, Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 501 Cherrywood Road. Visitation will be at the church from 9:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Vic's memory may be made to Water By Women (www.waterbywomen.org).

Vic was a true friend for over 50 years and we worked together in the legal field in Shelbyville, KY. He was honest and knowledgeable and was always there if anyone needed help.
