Vincent G. "Vinny" Paul, 78, of Fenwood Avenue, Smithfield, passed away on Monday November 8th in the Lincolnwood Rehabilitation Center, North Providence. He was the husband of the late Rosemarie (Labonte) Paul.
They had been married 45 years.

Born in New Bedford, MA, a son of the late Joseph P. and Helen (Goguen) Paul. He had lived in Smithfield for 57 years.
He was a US Marine Corps Veteran. Vinny had worked at the former Mine Safety Appliance in Smithfield for 31 years. He had also worked with the Town of Smithfield Recreation Department before retiring in 2011.

He leaves his sons, Dennis Paul, Lt SPD (retired) and his wife Amy of Greenville, Vincent Paul of Smithfield, Stephen Paul, LtCol USAF (retired) and his wife Alison of Stafford, VA and Jon Paul and his wife Erin of Newtown, CT. He was the grandfather of Ryan, Lauren, Alexandria, Hannah, Ashley, Nicholas, Jacob, Tyler and Anderson. He also leaves his siblings, Patricia Berard of Kissimmee, FL, William Paul of Memphis, TN, Robert Paul of Newport, NC and Timothy Paul of New Bedford, MA. He was the brother of the late Doris Houle, Joseph Paul and Phillip Cunningham.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday at 10am November 15th in St. Michael's Church, 80 Farnum Pike, Smithfield. Burial with Military Honors will be in St. Ann's Cemetery, Cranston. Visitation Sunday November 14th from 4-7pm in the Anderson-Winfield Funeral Home, Route 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville.
