Vincent L. Rust, passed away peacefully on Saturday June 7, 2025, with his loving family by his side. Born in Trenton, he was a long-time resident of the Hamilton Community.
He graduated from Notre Dame High School as a 3-star athlete 3-letter man for 4 years playing Football, Basketball and Baseball he attended Milwaukee School of Engineering, followed by Mercer County Community College. He started his career with General Electric and Trane Corporation, after years of dedicated service Vinnie then became a car salesman for various local dealerships within his community, retiring in 2015.
Known for his natural athleticism, Vinnie enjoyed a variety of sports throughout his life. Whether it was a friendly game of golf, a competitive round of pool, bowling strikes at the alley, playing on many travel softball teams, he brought a spirited energy to every activity he pursued. His love for these games reflected his zest for life and his camaraderie with friends and family.
In addition to his athletic pursuits, Vinnie and his wife loved to travel to Vegas and going on many cruises with friends. As a Past Exalted Ruler of the Robbinsville Lodge, he played a pivotal role in its activities and growth. When the Robbinsville Lodge merged with the Bordentown Lodge 2085, Vinnie continued his dedication by serving as a mentor within the PER Association. His efforts extended to volunteering on the Convention Committee and the CAN-DO-Committee, showcasing his commitment to fostering collaboration and goodwill within the community. His leadership and dedication left an indelible mark on those who worked alongside him.
Another one of Vinnie's passions was singing. Earlier, he performed with The Cop Shoo Bops, a group that brought joy to many through their music. Later in life, almost every Saturday night, Vinnie could be found at karaoke, singing his heart out with the Fabulous Car Guys. His love for singing was yet another way he shared his vibrant spirit and connected with those around him.
The son of the late Leon and Christine Rust, he is predeceased by his daughter-in-law, Govinda Rust, he is survived by his beloved wife, Maryellen Rust, his loving children, Angel and (Jim) Martine, Daniel Rust, his adoring grandchildren, Jimmy, Jessica and Zach Martine, Adrianna, Olivia and Adam Rust, his dearest cousin, Rosemary Frascella, brother in law Rudy and (Ellen) Palombi, brother in law David and (Linda) Palombi and many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am on Saturday June 14, 2025 at Our Lady of Sorrows Church 3816 East State St. Ext. Hamilton, NJ 08619. Calling hours will be Friday evening from 6:00 ~ 9:00pm with Elk Services at 7:30 and Saturday morning from 9:00 ~ 10:00 am at the funeral home. Burial will be held at St. Mary's Cemetery Hamilton.
