Walter Miller Obituary

Born and raised in Paterson, Walter was the son of the late Walter and Alice Miller. He graduated from MIT with a bachelor's degree in engineering and was President of Sandvik Process Systems. He proudly served in the US Navy from 1960 - 1964 during the Cuban Missile Crisis. Walter enjoyed bowling and playing cards but loved nothing more than being with his family.
Walter is lovingly survived by his wife, Celeste; his son, Matthew; his daughter, Deborah Bushnauskas; his sisters, Alice Sytsma and Elaine Ferrazzano; his grandchildren, Alyson Bushnauskas, Stephanie Tropona, Thomas Bushnauskas, Caitlyn Miller, Tasha Bushnauskas, Samantha Miller and Nicholas Miller; and his great grandsons, Nathan and Joseph.
Visiting hours will be held from 4 to 8 pm Thursday, December 2 at the M. John Scanlan Funeral Home, Pompton Plains. A funeral Mass will be held 10 am Friday at St. Anthony's RC Church, Butler. Cremation will be private.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Walter's memory to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation would be greatly appreciated by his family.
