Knew and enjoyed interacting with Walt for nearly 50 years. Always had something off the cuff to talk about. A real gentleman and an important contributor to the construction industry. Been out of the loop for a while and sorry I am just seeing this. My condolences to his fine family.

Walt, being a resident of the City of St. Matthews, and I a St. Matthews City Councilman, was always one of my biggest supporters. He called me occasionally about something St. Matthews related, but mostly he called to let me know he was voting for me in an upcoming election, and asking "who else should I vote for?", even up to the election of November 2024. Walt always had a laugh in his voice no matter the subject being discussed and a word of assurance that I would see that his matter of concern was looked into and resolved if possible. Walt was a good man and will be missed by all those who knew him.
