Wayne Baisel

Wayne Baisel, 93, of Delta Township, MI passed away on February 9, 2023. He was born in Millett, MI, on July 17, 1929, son of Murr and Lillie (Rossman) Baisel. Wayne was a graduate of Grand Ledge High School class of 1947, and then attended Lansing Business College. He went on to work for Demmer Corporation as an accountant for over 30 years. Wayne was a very hard worker and very talented with wood working; he built the home, with his father's help, that his family grew up in along with all of the cabinets, additions on the home, and restoring furniture. He loved to make things for the family including cribs, a variety of rocking animals and Santa's. Wayne enjoyed square dancing, attending auctions, collecting antiques, genealogy, gardening, mowing his lawn and attending all of his children's and grandchildren's activities.
He is survived by his loving wife Jane of 72 years; children: Mark Baisel, Max (Katherine) Baisel, Marie Searles, and Marvin Baisel; grandchildren: David (Connie), Stacey, Max (Jessica), Jacob, Kaitlyn (Brennen), Ian, Audrey and Elliott; great-grandchildren: Tiffany, David, Derrick, Christopher, Rheanna, and Cora Jane; great-great-grandchild: Sylvia; cousin, Arone Huisgen. Wayne is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Virgil; sister, Alberta; infant siblings, Max and Wanda Lou.
A Celebration of Life will be held for Wayne and Jane on Saturday, March 25, 2023 from 1:00 - 4:00 p.m. at Mills Funeral Home, Peters & Murray Chapel, Grand Ledge. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in loving memory of Wayne to the Sparrow Hospice House of Mid-Michigan, 1210 W Saginaw St, Lansing, MI 48915.
