Mark David Baisel

Mark David Baisel, age 70, of Lansing, MI, passed away on September 8, 2024. Born on July 2, 1954, in the same city he would eventually say his goodbyes; Mark lived a full and vibrant life marked by dedication to his family, a passion for his work, and an unwavering zest for the great outdoors.
A graduate of Grand Ledge High School, class of 1972, Mark's diligent nature and entrepreneurial spirit led him to become the respected owner of the local Conico gas station. His career later transitioned to the craftsmanship of hardwood floors, a trade he not only excelled in but also took great pride in, leaving a tangible legacy in homes across Michigan and Colorado.
Mark was known for his kind heart, strong work ethic, and his love for fishing and traveling. The tranquility of a quiet lake and the thrill of a new adventure were sources of great joy for him, and he often shared these passions with his friends and family.
He leaves behind a loving family, including his children, David Goodman and his wife Connie, and Stacy Getchell; his cherished grandchildren, David, Tiffany, Christopher, Derick, and Rheanna; great grandchild, Sylvia, who will miss their grandfather's guidance and gentle humor. Mark is also survived by his siblings, Max (Katherine) Baisel, Marie Searles, and Marvin Baisel, along with several nieces and nephews who will fondly remember their uncle's warmth and generosity. Mark was preceded in death by his parents, L. Wayne and Jane (Fox) Baisel.
Mark will be laid to rest on Saturday, September 28, 2024 10:00 a.m. at Dimondale Cemetery. A celebration of life meal will follow at Falsetta's Casa Nova, 138 S Waverly Rd, Lansing, MI 48917 from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in loving memory of Mark Baisel to the American Heart Association, PO Box 840692, Dallas, TX 75284-0692.
