It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of William E. Smith also known as Smitty. Left us on April 6, 2025. He was born in Tucson Arizona on January 30, 1947. William went to Tucson High and Graduated from Pueblo High School in 1965, and went to the Marines and served from 1965-1971, and after his service he went to work for Hughes, then went to work for the City of Tucson, he started digging ditches then moved to the Streets Department where he retired from on March 10, 2001, after his retirement he work for bit at Auto Zone.

He spent his life traveling with his family, taking them on many trips to California, camping and so many other places. He loved attending Mass at San Xavier del Bac Mission. He brought so much joy to his family.

He is presided in death by his parents, William Smith and Madeline Smith, wife, Irene Smith, daughter, Denise Brito.

Survived by his son, Manny Gutierrez (Christina Gutierrez), Guera Urbina Loya (Alex Loya),His God children, Steven Urbina and Lisa Teyechea.


He was such a huge part of everyone's life, he loved taking his niece's and nephew places with him especially Lisa, she was everywhere he went, there are so many memories he has left us all with.. He never judged people he just excepted you the way you were. He loved spending time with his friends working on cars not to mention collecting them, he left a yard filled with his projects he would start and his favorite saying I'll be working on them soon..
