Born on January 21, 1942, in Erie, Pennsylvania, Stritz lived a life marked by devotion to his family, a strong work ethic, and a heart full of love. Stritz attended Academy High School in his hometown of Erie. After graduation, he proudly served his country as a member of the National Guard, a testament to his dedication and patriotism. His professional life was characterized by his skilled hands and meticulous work as a career sheet metal journeyman, a trade that he mastered with precision and pride. Family was the cornerstone of Stritz's life. He is survived by his beloved wife, Judith, with whom he shared a profound and enduring love. Together, they raised a family that includes their daughters, Lisa and the late Suzanne; sons, Ronald (Heather), David (Vanessa), and Michael (Kilolo); a legacy of grandchildren: David, Joshua, Allen, Mykah, Michael, Faith, and William. His joy was further multiplied by his great-grandchildren, Aaliyah, Allison, and DJ. Each of them held a special place in his heart, and he cherished every moment spent with them. Stritz's interests were a reflection of his love for family and simple pleasures. He was a remarkable swimmer and bowler but his true passion was spending time with his loved ones. Whether playing cards, attending his children's and grandchildren's sporting events, school plays, enjoying sunny days at Metro Beach, or sledding down Balduck Park in the winter, Stritz was happiest in the company of his family. Movie nights with his wife and relaxing with a family pet by his side were among his favorite ways to unwind. Stritz was also a handyman around the house and a mechanic for all the families vehicles. Described as gentle, handy, and loving, Stritz will be remembered for his kind spirit and his unwavering support for his family. His memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved him, and his legacy will continue to inspire all who knew him. William David Stritzinger's life was a testament to the enduring power of love and family, and he will be deeply missed.
