William "Bill" David Vockroth, age 63, of Painted Post, passed away on Monday, December 2, 2024 at Guthrie Corning Hospital. He was born on May 9, 1961 in Corning, the son of the late Richard and Betty (Taft) Vockroth.
Bill graduated from West High School, enjoyed ghost hunting and loved to go to concerts. He was proud of the fact he was able to attend over 500 concerts in his life. Bill liked NASCAR racing and worked at Watkins Glen racetrack as a flagman.
He is survived by his son, Bryan Vockroth of Painted Post, brother and sister-in-law, Larry and Kathy Ruggles of Wellsboro, a niece, Amy (Tim) Smith of Texas, a nephew Derek Ruggles of West Virginia, and great nieces and great nephews.
Family and friends are invited to gather at Carpenter's Funeral Home, 14 East Pulteney Street, on Wednesday, December 11, 2024 from 2:00 to 4:00 pm.
Burial will take place at Coopers Plains Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Bill's name may be sent to Make a Wish Foundation by going to www.wish.org
