Wilma Ann Jones, A radiant soul whose sprit sparkled like the sun dancing on the ocean waves, passed away peacefully on October 8, 2025, surrounded by love. Wilma was born to the late Carl Ray Bain and Ruth Ann Miller Bain on June 6, 1949, in Sparta, Tennessee.
To know Wilma was to know kindness, and a heart that seemed to have room for the whole world.
Born with an explorer's heart, Wilma found her greatest peace where the sand met the sea. Whether it was a sunrise walk on the beach, a spontaneous road trip to the coast, fishing, or a quiet evening listening to the tides, she believed that the ocean could heal anything and for those who loved her, it often did.
To her family Wilma was always a steady shore you could always return to. She was the one who showed up no matter the distance or hour. Her compassion, wisdom, and endless generosity made her everyone's safe place.
In addition to her parents, Wilma is preceded in death by her son Barry Brady, brothers Thomas Keith "Temus" Bain, and Richard Bain.
Wilma is survived by her son Bill Brady (Amy) Daughter- In- Law Dawn Brady, Grandchildren: Clay Brady (Kayla), Kyle Riddle (Allison), Chad Riddle, Eric Riddle, Tristen Morrison, and Justin Morrison. Great- Grandchildren: Jayden Farley, Andrew Brady, Rylen Brady, and Riley Riddle. Special Cousin Shirley Greenwood (Denny) and her beloved neighbor Dorothy Speck.
Though the tides have carried her to a new shore, her footprints will forever remain in the hearts of the lives she has touched along the way.
Her family invites all who loved Wilma to celebrate her life and legacy on Sunday, October 12, 2025, in the chapel of Oak Lawn Funeral Home. Visitation will begin at 12:00 PM with the service beginning at 2:00 PM and burial at Spring Hill Cemetery immediately following the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Spring Hill Cemetery donation fund.
Donations may be sent to Janie Simmons at 2635 Three Island Road Walling, TN 38587.
Online condolences may be made to the family at oaklawnmemorial.com*
