Winzella "Sug" McKee, 89, of Henrietta, Texas passed away on Thursday, February 15, 2024.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm, Monday, February 19, 2024 at the First Baptist Church in Henrietta with Rev. Sam Bunnell, Pastor officiating and Rev. Randy Osborn, assisting. Burial will be in Hope Cemetery in Henrietta under the direction of Davis Funeral Home.
Sug was born on January 20, 1935 in Pampa, Texas to N.E. "Corky" and Mabel (Mitchell) Heard. She married Charles McKee on September 19, 1953 in Henrietta. Sug was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist church in Henrietta. She had served as the Sunday School Secretary, a seamstress, worked many years in the nursery, W.M.U., G.A., Campfire and Red Cross. She also worked many years at the Frozen Food Locker and Henrietta Care Center.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Charles, brother Eddie Heard and sister Wanda Vance.
Survivors include two sons, Charles Dewayne McKee and wife Cindy of Wichita Falls and Bryan McKee of Henrietta; daughter, Carol Davis of Henrietta; grandchildren, Melissa McKee, Zachry McKee, Marcus McKee, Scott Apple, Karen Donovan and husband Brian, Jessica Clayton and husband Nick, Jay Davis and wife Melissa, Jennifer Peterlin and husband Jeff, and Matthew McKee; 14 great grandchildren; one great great-grandchild; three sister in laws, Sue Price, Sandy McKee and Nelda Heard.
Visitation will be Sunday afternoon from 4:00 pm – 5:00 pm at Davis Funeral Home.
Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church in Henrietta, Texas at PO Box 544, Henrietta, Texas 76365.
