It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Yeraldirys "Yera" Vasquez, who left us on January 14, 2025, at the age of 33. Yera was born on December 10, 1991.
Yera graduated from Lawrence High School in 2010.Yera was a bright light to all who knew her-her sincerity, sweetness, and unwavering strength left an indelible mark on everyone around her. Her pure heart and kindness radiated in all that she did.
Yera's greatest joy was being a loving mother to her beautiful daughter, Zya, who was the center of her world. She also found immense love and support from her mother, Zoila Taveras, whose devotion was a constant presence in her life. Yera's bond with her late father, William Vasquez, was equally strong-he was not only a father but also her best friend. Her relationship with her brother, Giovanny Vasquez, was one of mutual admiration, filled with memories that will forever remain in his hearts.
Family was everything to Yera-she shared an unshakable love for her extended family, including cousins, aunts, uncles, and more. She celebrated them with joy and pride, teaching us all the power of love, resilience, and how to embrace life fully, even in the face of adversity.
Yera went on to become a compassionate and strong woman who embraced life with an open heart and kindness. Yera had a deep love for animals and nature, finding peace in the outdoors. Her spirit thrived in the beauty of the earth, and her compassion for all living creatures reflected the purity of her heart.
Though Yera is no longer physically with us, her spirit lives on in the love she gave, the lessons she imparted, and the cherished memories she leaves behind. Her legacy of kindness, strength, and deep connection to those she loved will remain in our hearts forever.

Calling hours are Monday, January 20, 2025 from 4 – 8 PM at Dewhirst Boles Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Methuen, MA 01844. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, January 21, 2025 at 10:30 AM. Burial will follow the service in St. Mary's Cemetery in Lawrence, MA.
