Carl Head Obituary

Carl David Head, age 72 passed away Sunday September 11, 2016. He was born on October 26, 1944 in Goose Creek, Texas to Jesse and Cleo Head. He is a 1962 graduate of Tarkington High School and attended Blinn Jr. College in Brenham Texas. He was a successful business owner of Quality Product Finishing in Houston Texas for 27 years. Quality was owned and operated by Carl and his business partner and friend Frank Jameson. Carl was a consummate businessman, honorable employer, loyal employee and dedicated friend and was passionate about anything that he was involved in including business activities, sports, church, hunting and fishing.

Carl was a dedicated husband, father, son, brother, friend, family member and Christian that was always there if you needed him regardless of the circumstances and most of the time without having to be asked...his loyalty to his family, friends and beliefs were admirable & unbreakable! Carl and his family were among the original members of the Tarkington Church of Christ in Tarkington Texas. Carl and Aline later moved to Montgomery Texas where they have been members of the Rabon Chapel Church of Christ in Montgomery Texas for over 2 decades.

Carl is preceded in death by his parents, Jesse and Cleo Head, Sisters; Yvonne Jackson, Judy Gilley and Pauline Davis Brothers; Daniel Head, Jessie Head and Buryl Head, Grandson, Joshua Thornton and Granddaughter, Josey Lynn Scott.

Carl is survived by his loving wife of 51 years Aline Head, Brother; Johnny Head, daughters; Deborah Thornton and son-in-law Shannon Thornton and Tammy Munson and son-in-law Henry Munson. Grandchildren; Lacey Richards and Husband Jason Richards, Ethan Blaine Thornton, Devin Scott and wife Amanda Scott, Rachel Thornton Stainbrook and husband Justin Stainbrook and Conway Benton. Great Grandchildren; Hayden Berger, Reagan Berger and Lilith Scott. Sister in laws; Judy Lyssy, Helen and Frankie Janecek.

Carl will be so deeply missed by all that knew and loved him, until we all meet in heaven with our Lord! Friends and family are invited to celebrate his life with visitation on Tuesday September 13, 2016 from 5-8p.m. and with Services on Wednesday at 1:00 p.m., September 14, 2016 at Pace Stancil Funeral Home in Cleveland, Texas with Minister Tony Dominguez officiating. Burial will follow in Ryan Cemetery with fellowship at the Tarkington Church of Christ to follow to all who would like to attend.

Pallbearers for the service will be Shannon Thornton, Henry Munson, Ethan Thornton, Devin Scott, Conway Benton, Jason Richards and Honorary Pallbearers; Johnny Head and Ronnie Gilley. To leave condolences to the family, visit [email protected]
