Cathy and I worked together to teach English as a second language. She was a exceptional volunteer - always willing to do whatever was needed, spending her time preparing activities, and showing love, patience, and encouragement to the students. She will be truly missed not only as a volunteer, but also as a good friend. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Dear Dan, Sarah, and Lisa,

I am so sorry for your loss. Cathy was a great teacher and was always very kind. I remember how she used to advise Sarah and me to "kill them with kindness" whenever childhood scuffles were getting to us. She helped us to keep the high ground, even when others were being rude or difficult. I found her kindness inspirational.

I am keeping you in my thoughts and prayers in this difficult time.

Love,

Julia

Dear Dan, Sarah, and Lisa,
I have lots of prayers for you at this time. You, and Julian, were the world for her. Alma, that goodness that you were there! You have the strength and calm that she needed. Her sisters and brother, she loved to talk about childhood and she would tell things that were happening. And of course, Dan's family~ she loved everyone! Cathy and I were Thelma and Louise! We always did things together, like being in ESL for KUMC, We came up with Mercer Arboretum and the High School Sp. Ed. kids to do photos around the garden. Finally, she was in BSF, in Kingwood. She had an amazing life and I hope that I can have some of it!
