1921-2018
Clif Currin passed away peacefully on Feb. 2, 2018. He was a born leader who never faced a challenge he could not overcome. Clif was 12 when his father died after a lengthy illness, so he quickly learned responsibility as he assumed the man of the house position and helped raise his two younger brothers. He earned his Eagle Scout rank at age 15 and later in life embraced the role of Scout troop leader for 15 years. His son and two grandsons followed in turn, also earning the distinction of becoming Eagle Scouts. He served his country in World War II, beginning with the Battle of the Bulge and ending with the occupation and reconstruction of Japan in the OSI division of the Army. After the war Clif earned his chemical engineering degree and joined Atlantic Richfield Company where he rose to the position of Operations Manager for the Arco Philadelphia Refinery. One of his most joyous moments in life was his dedication to Jehovah and baptism as a Jehovah's Witness on August 1, 2015 at the youthful age of 94. His wife Marcella Currin and daughter Melissa Currin preceded him in death. He is survived by his daughter Marie Currin, son and daughter-in-law Clif Currin, Jr. and Debby Currin and daughter and son-in-law Marcie Currin and Dan Kirsch. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren: Brad Currin, Sean Currin, Brenden Currin, Jamila Currin, Ryan Galdo, Monika Rike, Rob Galdo and Zach Rike and by 5 great grandchildren: Evelyn Currin, Fenner Currin, Nathan Bustamante, Cade Currin and Phoebe Currin. The family wishes to give a special thanks to Camerina Gracia for all the care she gave Clif in his last few months. A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday February 17 at 4:00 pm at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 3931 Glade Valley, Kingwood, Texas.

I am very sorry for your family's loss. I did not know Clifton Currin, but saw his obituary. What a wonderful hope we have for the future when we can be with our deceased loved ones again. "And it's just around the corner." As you await this fulfillment, may Jehovah strengthen and comfort your family and give each of you peace of mind.
