Coley Jerald Williams

Coley Jerald Williams passed away on June 20, 2022 at Park Manor Skilled Nursing Facility in Humble, Texas at the age of 87.

Coley is survived by his wife of 57 years, Georgia, daughters: Valerie (Ed Hilla), Sarah and his brother, Jack Williams. He was preceded in death by his parents, Coley and Gertrude Williams, and his sisters Ora Joy Rushing and Maudie Edwards.

After graduating from the University of Texas with a degree in Chemical Engineering, Coley began his life-long career with Shell Oil Company - - working first in Deer Park, Texas. In 1967 after working at the Corporate Headquarters in New York City and a few years in Los Angeles, Coley relocated his family to Kingwood where they still reside. Coley and Georgia have been members of Kingwood United Methodist Church since the middle 70's where Coley served as an usher and served on various committees. He was a voracious reader of mystery novels. In addition to reading, he loved traveling the world with his dear wife, Georgia, often with friends from the church. Coley and Georgia often took "educational" trips with Roads Scholar soaking up information about the culture and food of the locals. He quietly took advantage of his good health, good retirement and lived an adventuresome life.

Coley's funeral will be at Kingwood United Methodist Church on June 28 at 10:00 am. Interment will be at Rosewood Cemetery in Humble immediately following the service.
