I worked with Melissa as a mortgage lender in 1999 at a Mortgage Company. She encouraged me to work with her and we shared an office together. She was incredibly successful then, a real whiz at numbers, and had a gift with her "cover letter" writing skills to the underwriters in which she would masterfully explain why her customers were qualified for the financing. This was the start of my career in the real estate business, I learned so much from Melissa while working with her.
She moved away to Texas the next year with her family. She was exactly what others have written about here. Kind, always happy and positive, and always willing to help others.
I just learned about her passing and wanted to share my memories of her.

We just learned of Melissa's death yesterday and our heart's are broken. After reading the comments of others in the guest book, we can only add that what everyone said is not just being polite, but it is all true, to quote others: "Melissa is the most genuinely sweet person to walk the earth," "She was the most generous, kind and loving person ...,"She was a true joy for all who knew her." It's all true. What can we add. Our very heartfelt sympathies to Monika, Zack, Cliff, Marie, and all the many dear friends in the Kingwood congregation.

My happiest memories in Texas are with Melissa and her family. From the moment we moved here her family was our family. While my heart will ache for a long time, I will strive even longer to imitate her faith and loving example. Denise (Nici) Warner

Tears and even prayers cannot bring back my best friend of 26 years. The many happy times we shared will always be cherished, be remembered and be a true reminder of what a loyal friend she was. She not only had a genuine love of the bible , but she put that love into action with all whom she met. That love for others was only exceeded by the love she had for her daughter and son and the rest of her family. She was the most generous, kind and giving person I have ever known and she will never be forgotten by the many lives she touched, especially mine.

I will always remember Melissa's beautiful smile, her contagious laugh. How much she loved her children with all of her heart and how much she loved other people. She reached out her arms and heart to everyone. She touched our lives personally in so many ways. My heart aches to see her again and I send my love and constant prayers for Zack and Monica that Jehovah strengthen them and carry them gently through this difficult time.

I first met Melissa in 1990 when her husband and I went to work together at DuPont. She became a best friend of mine, my son Nicholas and my girlfriend Lori. We are extremely saddened at her loss and extend our heartfelt sympathies to her children Monica and Zach, and her entire family. She will always be with us because of the warmth of her spirit and generosity of her personality.
