Terri Ralph Ullrich died peacefully in her sleep on May 5, 2017 in Gunnison, Colorado. Terri was born on September 8, 1927 in Springfield, Massachusetts to Thomas and Nadine Ralph. Terri and her brother Graham were raised in Danielson, Connecticut. She attended Middlebury College and later earned a B.S. degree from the School of Hotel Administration at Cornell University. She was also a member of the Alpha Phi Sorority. After college, she worked for the American Red Cross as a swim instructor. Terri married Donald Ullrich in 1954 and had three sons, Graham, Tupper, and Carter. She began raising her family on the east coast in Connecticut and New Jersey, and then moved to northern California. In 1977, the family moved to Kingwood, Texas where Terri became a member of the First Presbyterian Church, The Clubs of Kingwood, and many local book clubs. Terri enjoyed many hobbies and outdoor activities like downhill skiing, tennis, bike riding and bird watching. She especially enjoyed taking her many dogs that she loved on afternoon walks. Terri traveled all over the world, but one of her favorite destinations was Crested Butte, Colorado where she visited every summer. Terri is survived by her brother Graham and his wife Carol, her sons Graham, Tupper, and Carter, her daughters-in-law, Sue and Donna, and her grandchildren, Cameron, Lauren, and Reed. Terri's family is planning a private service in Crested Butte, Colorado and respectfully requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be given to the Alzheimer's Association. Terri and her family would like to thank all the caregivers who helped with her dementia.
