Wayne Robert Leone, 61, of Galveston Texas went to be with his Lord on Saturday, June 21, 2014. He was born October 6, 1952 in Chicago, Illinois to the late Joseph Leone and Marjorie Casier Leone. Wayne grew up in Chicago and moved to Spring Texas as a young adult. There he met and married the love of his life Havanna Ward Leone. Wayne and Havanna had two children Pamela Leone Christian and Shaun Leone both of Humble Texas.
Wayne founded Sunburst Truck Lines, Inc. He built a thriving business from a single truck to a company of over 100. Wayne will be remembered for his devotion to his family and generosity. He was a loving and dedicated husband, father and grandfather. Although he worked with his family 5 days a week he still spent many weekends and took many vacations with them.
A memorial service was held on Saturday, June 28, 2014 at Wayne's home church of Lamb of God Lutheran Church in Humble, Texas. Memorial donations may be made to the Lamb of God Lutheran Church Memorial gift fund.
Wayne was preceded in death by both parents, brothers Paul and Joey Leone and his sister Hope Leone.
Wayne is survived by his wife, Havanna Leone of Galveston, son and daughter- in- law Shaun and Janet Leone and daughter Pamela Leone Christian both of Humble, grandchildren Brooke Leone, Brittney Leone, Michael Christian and Hannah Christian, great grandchildren Leeann Christian and Lucas Christian, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Wayne's absence will leave a great void in the lives of many.
