Keith L. Watson, 79, passed away Tuesday, August 23, 2022, at Baptist Health Floyd Hospital in New Albany, IN. He was born November 22, 1942, in Central, IN the son of Nelson and Pauline Bartley Watson. He was a 1960, graduate of Corydon Central High School where he was a 4 sport athlete, participating in basketball, baseball, cross country and track. Keith began working early in life working for Boeing Aircraft traveling in the west installing minuteman missile silos, he retired as computer engineer for IBM in 1996 after 30 years of service. After retirement he loved spending time on the family farm, fishing and spending time with his family. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He had a knack for fixing anything, he was the family fix-it man. He had an immense love for his church, Northside Christian Church where he was a founding member and served as an Elder. He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his loving wife Lola Emily Watson of Floyds Knobs; they would have celebrated 60 years of marriage in December. He is also survived by sons, Troy Watson (LeAnn) of Floyds Knobs, IN and Darin Watson (Holly) of Folsom, CA; sisters, Joyce Bliss (Ralph) of Central, IN and Judy Bradshaw (Ralph) of Corydon, IN; grandchildren, Jacob, William, Hannah, Kayley and Dylan Watson and Ceci and Wyatt Quinn. A memorial service will be held at 5 PM Saturday, August 27, 2022, at Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home in Corydon, IN. Danny Utz will be the officiant. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12 PM until the service at 5 PM on Saturday at the funeral home.
