Robert Lee Tisdale

Robert Lee Tisdale passed to Heaven on November 17, 2023. at the age of 94. Robert was a loving husband, devoted father, much loved grandfather, great grandfather, and great-great grandfather, loyal brother, endearing uncle, and friend. The third of four children, Robert was born to Adrian Carl Tisdale and Hazel Towne Tisdale on July 5, 1929. On July 29, 1950, Robert married Grace Freda Stabile and was the father of eight children.
Robert meticulously researched his ancestors and published two editions of. He was a proud in-law to the Stabile family and published two editions of. He retired from the Lansing State Journal in 1991, beginning his career as a printer and typesetter and retiring as the composing room manager. Robert loved to travel, taking his family on vacations, traveling to all fifty states, and visiting England and Italy.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents, wife Grace, daughters Janice Marie Tisdale and Lynda Katherine Minsky; brother Donald Tisdale, sister Virginia Wiseman; brothers-in-law John Stabile, Anthony Stabile, Joseph Stabile and Albert Wiseman; sisters-in-law Olga Kirkpatrick, Amelia Kiley, Lena McDowell, Dorothy Tisdale and Judith Tisdale; in-laws Domenico and Marietta Stabile, Daphine Stabile, Edna Stabile, Richard Kirkpatrick, John Kiley, and David McDowell; special family George and Lena Belperio, Lucy Belperio, and Grace Gorny; and sons-in-law Jack Minsky, Robert Hubbell, and William McGowan.
Robert is survived by daughters Patricia (Ivan) Beal, Theresa Hubbell, Carol McGowan, and Roberta (Craig Sparks) Tisdale; sons Mark (Vickie) Tisdale and John (Angela) Tisdale; brother James Tisdale; sister-in-law Karen Stabile; special family Geri Caruso; cousin Jacob Cook; and numerous "favorite" nieces and nephews.
Grandpa "T" will be forever loved by grandchildren AnnMarie (Shaun) Bates, Robert (Julie) Beal, Matthew (Elizabeth) McGowan, Emma (Anthony) Garibaldi, Staci (Josh) Cramer, Solitaire (Adam) Ayen, Joshua (Charity) Minsky, Sara (Becca) Tisdale, Andrew (Stephen) Tisdale, Amber (Matt) Carr, April (Jason) Alleman, Joseph (Alice) Tisdale, Autumn (Nicholas) Karwowski, James (Mollie) Tisdale, and Alyssa Tisdale; great grand-children Justin (Desiree) Bray, Erin Bray, Tristan and Brennan Bates; Ethan, Anna and Madelyn Beal; Anthony Garibaldi; Levi and Emberly Cramer; Leon, Colton and Alexa Ayen; Arianna Minsky; Kohen, Haylah, Silas, Oliver and Ethan Carr; Areya, Adeline and Evangeline Alleman; and Cooper and Connor Tisdale; and great-great-grandchildren Kennedy, Elana, Fallon and Paisley Bray.
The family would like to thank Nurse Megan and all the staff of Heart to Heart Hospice for their dedication, kind, and compassionate care of Robert over the past year; and the staff of Independence Village and Laurus Care for supporting Robert over the last two years. Celebration of the funeral mass will be Monday, December 11, 2023, at 11AM, at St. Michael's Church, 345 Edwards St. Grand Ledge, Michigan with Father James Eisele as celebrant. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. The family will receive relatives and friends, on Sunday, December 10th from 6pm to 8pm at Palmer, Bush, and Jensen Family Funeral Home at 6301 W. St. Joe, Lansing, Michigan.
