Betty met the love of her life, B. B. Keng, in 1947 while she was working in downtown Houston at Houston Trunk Factory, the same year she graduated from Jeff Davis High School. They were married on July 2, 1949 at Garden Oaks Baptist Church in Houston. During their 49 year marriage, they raised five children on a dairy farm, first in the Houston area and finally at Tarkington in Cleveland, TX. Betty was a Christian, a faithful choir member, servant, and tither who loved the Lord and raised her children in the BaptistChurch.
Her greatest joy was her family. She considered herself blessed because of being loved by her family and friends. She was stunning on the outside, and graced with a pure heart. We have never known a more genuine, witty, and loving person. She loved in such a way that it was impossible to doubt. We will forever miss her.
A Celebration of her life will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday, December 9, 2015 at First Baptist Church 400 West Hanson Street Cleveland, Texas 77327. Visitation will be held beginning at 10:00 am Wednesday at the church. Burial services are 2:30pm Wednesday at Earthman Resthaven Cemetery 13102 North Freeway Houston, Texas 77060 under the direction of Carnes Brothers Funeral Home of Galveston. Her grandsons will serve as pallbearers.

My deepest condolences to your entire family! As a classmate of George's, I had the privilege of meeting Mrs. Keng! Each time I seen her, she remembered and always called me by name! She was a wonderful lady!

Thoughts with prayers of strength and understanding to those loveones Betty has left behind. She's now with those who left earlier, waiting patiently for all to join the unbroken circle.
