Raleigh, North Carolina - Zoe Mullin Welsh, 57, of Raleigh, passed away January 3, 2026.
Born January 23, 1968, in Raleigh, Zoe graduated from Broughton High School (Class of 1986) and earned bachelor's degrees in Biological Life Sciences and Secondary Science Education from North Carolina State University, as well as a master's degree in Science Education from East Carolina University.
Zoe dedicated more than 30 years to teaching science at Southern Guilford High School, Leesville Road High School, and Ravenscroft School, where she taught since 2006. A National Board Certified Teacher, she was deeply committed to her students and the field of education.
She is survived by her children, Caroline and Elliot Welsh; her parents, Courtney and Alexander "Sandy" Mullin; and her sister, Shannon Satterwhite.
The rescheduled celebration of life service will be held at Jones Theatre at Ravenscroft School, 7409 Falls of Neuse Rd., Sunday, March 29th at 3 p.m. Officials said doors will open at 2:15 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences or the Museum of Life and Science.
