Adam Russo, age 48, a resident of Naperville, IL since 2000, formerly of Scarsdale, NY, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, September 8, 2024, at Edward Hospital in Naperville, IL. He was born on June 12, 1976, in New Rochelle, NY.
Beloved husband of Heather Russo (nee Moore), whom he married September 16, 2000, loving father of Juliana, Adrienne and Natalie Russo, devoted son of Mary Louise Russo (nee Cioffoletti) of Naperville and the late Robert J. Russo, cherished son-in-law of Rusty and Jennifer Moore of Naperville, fond nephew, cousin, and friend of many. Adam was also dearly loved by his dog, Gus.
Adam grew up in Scarsdale, NY and was a 1994 graduate of Scarsdale High School. He received a BA in Psychology at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, TX (1998) and a Master of Social Work (MSW) from Smith College in Northampton, MA (2000). In 2004, Adam started Edgewood Clinical Services in Naperville, a family counseling business focused on adolescence. He sold the company to LifeStance Health in 2020. In 2023, Adam established another business, Reliable Coaching and Strategy, which focused on professional leadership and development strategies.
Adam was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church in Naperville and the Naperville Chamber of Commerce, where he served on the board of directors and was a former Chairman of the Board.
Adam authored the book, "Unwritten Rules" and in his free time enjoyed craft beer and hockey.
A visitation will be held Thursday, September 12, 2024, 4:00-8:00 PM at Friedrich-Jones Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 44 S. Mill Street, Naperville, IL 60540.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 14, 11:00 AM at Bethany Lutheran Church, 1550 Modaff Rd., Naperville, IL 60565, (630) 355-2198.
Interment will follow at Wheatland Township Cemetery, Naperville, IL.
