Adam Walters Obituary

Passed away August 5, 2022, at the age of 53 after a long hard fought battle with cancer. Adam was born in Lansing, MI on August 23, 1968, the son of Roland Walters Jr. and Sandra (Powell) Walters. He was a member of Local #2 working as a Bricklayer for Davenport Masonry & Restoration in Holt. Adam loved hunting and fishing, and had many trophy bucks. He loved weight lifting; you could find him at the gym after putting in a hard day's work for many years. Adam continued weight lifting right up until the end, being recorded benching 454 lbs.
Adam is survived by his daughter Amanda Brooks, Morgan (Dylan)Mooney whom he thought of as a daughter along with her children who called him grandpa, sister Brooke (Russ) Nobach, niece Piper Walters, nephew Cohle Nobach, girlfriend Lisa Ruble as well as many aunts, uncles and friends who the family can't thank enough for all of their love and support. He was preceded in death by his mother Sandra.
A Celebration of Life will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 17, 2022, at the Mills Funeral Home, Peters & Murray Chapel with visitation one hour prior to the service. For those desiring, memorial contributions may be made to G.L.E.A.P. in memory of Adam. The family has entrusted arrangements to the Mills Funeral Home, Peters & Murray Chapel, Grand Ledge.

Adam and I went to high school together we had a few of the same classes. Good memories of him of those days! We reconnected at Snap fitness weight lifting at the same time, some times together. Finally ran across him at the gym several months after the pandemic allowed us back in and found out he had treated for cancer which shock me for him being so strong at weight lifting and said he was back on the right track. When John Rademacher told me he had passed away, again I was in shock and upset that we would not exchange stories at the gym anymore! My sincerest condolences to his family.
