Alecia Elizabeth Maringola, her golden heart stopped beating but her beautiful, loving soul lives on. Alecia passed into the arms of her Lord and Savior on December 1, 2022 with her loving family by her side. She was 36 years old. Born on May 14, 1986 in New Britain, she was the daughter of William and Laura (Bafuma) Maringola, with whom she made her home in Plantsville, CT. Never allowing anything to impede her, including a life long struggle with Muscular Spinal Atrophy, Alecia excelled in every endeavor. She graduated from high school and went on to attend college and graduate from Liberty College with a BA in Crisis Counseling. Alecia never put herself first but always offered her services and expertise to anyone in need. She wrote several articles and was a contributor to the web based scientific study known as rare disease advisor. Using watercolors, her creative talents produced beautiful artwork which she generously gave freely to anyone who wished to have one for their own. Alecia loved to sing but more importantly, she loved the Lord with all her heart, the Lord with whom she now dwells, in perfect health and perfect peace. Her passing will be mourned by all who knew her, especially her parents, Bill and Laura; her brother and sister-in-law, Ryan and Beth Maringola and their sons, James and Luke, all of Cheshire; a special cousin and caregiver, Jenel Frazier of Southington; her step grandfather, Erwin Pollack of Sebastian, FL; and numerous extended family members and friends. Funeral services will be held privately according to her wishes. Donations in her memory may be made to the Southington Community Services. https://www.southington.org/departments/community_services/index.php To share a memory or express a condolence to the family, please visit: www.auroramccarthyfuneralhome.com
