Andre "Andy" H. Irbe, a loving and compassionate person, passed away on August 20, 2025. He was born on January 6, 1961 in Indianapolis, IN.
Andy enjoyed life to the fullest by staying busy with work, fishing, gardening and raising many animals over the years. He will be truly missed by all his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 33 years, Peggy Anna Irbe and his parents Visvaldis and Leah Irbe.
Andy is survived by his brother, Doug and Christine Irbe; sister Michele and Gunvids Jansons; nephews and nieces, Ethan and Dariah Irbe; great nephews Tatum Irbe, Mason Irbe, Rachel and Eli Diehr; Stepchildren Christopher and Regina Lewis, Catherine and Anthony Arnone and Jason Wlkinson; Grandchildren, Lena Lewis, Kristin and Kollin Brewer, Azalea and Drake Schilling, Jadon Wilkinson, Aubrey Dodson and Keira Wilkinson, as well as two great grandsons on their way.
Andy graduated from Avon High School in 1979. He lived most of his life in Bainbridge, Indiana and most recently resided in Cadiz, Kentucky with longtime friend Cindy Walton. Andy enjoyed a very successful career as a Paint Contractor for over 40 years. He was an avid outdoorsman enjoying fishing, trapping and of course looking for morel mushrooms. Over the years Andy caught several large trophy fish. His first was a large mouth bass caught in Gosport, Indiana.
A celebration of Life will be in October, 2025. Date, time and location TBD.
Donations in honor of Andy's life can be made to The Humane Society of your choice and the American Heart Association.
