Essex Junction – Vt – With profound sadness, we announce the peaceful passing of Andrew "Andy" Yandow on January 10, 2025, surrounded by the love of his family.
Born on July 23, 1979, Andy was the beloved son of Norman Yandow and Cindy Reynolds. He grew up in Essex Junction, where he attended Esse High School. Any's intelligence shone brightly, excelling in his courses and leaving a lasting impression on those who knew him.
Andy had a deep love for music and expressed it beautifully through his guitar playing. He was a masterful gamer, always up for a challenge, and found joy in spending time with his family and friends, especially his nieces and nephews. Those close to him affectionately called him "Pedro," a name that matched his vibrant personality. With his sharp sense of style and hair that many admired, Andy had a charisma and humor that could light up any room.
Andy's many talents were matched by his extraordinary character. He was deeply devoted to his family and friends, always showing up with love and unwavering support. His courage was evident throughout his lifelong battle with Crohn's disease, which he faced with remarkable strength and gratitude. Andy was thoughtful, generous, compassionate, and endlessly kind – a soul who truly enriched the lives of everyone he met.
Predeceased by his father, Norm, Andy leaves behind a family who loved him dearly. He will be deeply missed by his mother, Cindy; his brothers, Norman and Matthew; his sister Kristina; his sisters-in-law, Toni and Sarah; his nieces and nephews; as well as his cousins, extended family, and countless friends.
Visiting hours will be held on Friday, January 24, 2025 from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at A W Rich Funeral Home – Essex Chapel. A private graveside service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Andy's honor may be made to the Chittenden County Humane Society, 142 Kindness Court, South Burlington, VT 05403 for his love of animals and his old friend FiFi.
Andy's life was a testament to resilience, love, and joy. Though his time with us was far too short, his legacy will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know and love him.
