Anita Grieg Crain

Anita Grieg Crain, 67, of Northfield, VT, passed away unexpectedly on May 24, 2025. Born in 1958, Anita was a lifelong resident of Northfield. She graduated from Northfield High School and worked at Norwich University in Northfield for 35 years. Anita lived in the same, familiar neighborhood her entire life, and enjoyed skiing, biking, and hiking. Anita took special pleasure in her handicrafts, family visits, travel to Cape Cod, and was a cherished friend within her local support team in recent years. Anita was especially proud of her Norwegian heritage, traveling there many times throughout her life and speaking Norwegian. Her smile will be missed!
Anita was predeceased by her parents, Charles Moody Crain and Anna Lillian Grieg Eide Crain, and is survived by brothers Chris, Robin, and Bruce.
There will be a "Celebration of Life" for Anita at the United Church in Northfield on Saturday, July 19th at 1:30pm, with a reception at the church to follow.
Anita will be interred at the Crain family plot at Mount Hope Cemetery in Northfield in a private service.
