Barbara Anne Lehman, 80, of Bamboo Lane, Keyser, WV, died Monday, April 28, 2025 at WVU Medicine Potomac Valley Hospital in Keyser.
Born on April 5, 1945 in Altoona, PA, she was the daughter of the late Jesse Russell and Margaret "Peg" (Keith) Sickles. She also was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, John William Lehman on January 13, 2024 and a brother, Jack Lingenfelter.
Mrs. Lehman graduated from Altoona High School in 1963, started her collegiate education at Shippensburg State College and graduated from Frostburg State College with her Masters Degree in Education. She was employed as an elementary school teacher in Mineral County, WV, having taught most of her career at Elk Garden and Fountain Primary Schools. She was also a member of the Fountain United Brethren Church.
Surviving are her children, John Keith Lehman and his husband Thomas Taylor of Leesburg, VA and Marjorie Lehman of Radcliff, KY; two sisters-in-law, Delores Lingenfelter and Kathryn Auker and husband Scott Williams and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be conducted at the Smith Funeral Home, Keyser Chapel, on Saturday, May 3, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Lucas Taylor officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be directed to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude’s Place Memphis, TN 38105.
