Robert Steven "Bobby" Kleinedler II, born on December 1, 1968, in Wheeling, WV, passed away peacefully on October 10, 2025, in Pittsburgh, PA, at the age of 56. Bobby's journey through life was marked by his unwavering dedication to his work, his community, and his loved ones.
Bobby was a man of great intellect and compassion, whose career as an I.T. manager at Essential Utilities in Pittsburgh showcased his commitment to excellence and innovation. His colleagues remember him not only for his technical expertise but also for his warm smile and infectious humor. Bobby often claimed, with a twinkle in his eye, that he was the funniest person he knew-second only to his beloved father.
A proud alumnus of West Virginia Wesleyan College, Bobby furthered his education with a master's degree from Carnegie Mellon University. His academic achievements were a testament to his determination and love for learning.
Bobby's spirit of generosity extended beyond his professional life. As an avid supporter of the ALS Association, he played a pivotal role in raising over $172,000 to combat this devastating disease. With the support of his employer and countless generous donors, Bobby's efforts have left an indelible mark on the fight against ALS.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Patricia Ann (Williams) Kleinedler; his paternal grandparents, William and Mary Kleinedler; his maternal grandparents, Charles and Estella Williams; and his beloved dog, Greta Gatsby.
Bobby is survived by his loving partner of 25 years, Paul Soha, of Pittsburgh, PA; his father, Robert S. Kleinedler, of
Moundsville, WV; his sisters, Stephanie A. (Ted) Evans of Cranberry Township, PA, and Valerie J. Kleinedler of
Moundsville, WV; his nephew, Theodore Vincent "Vinny" Evans III of Cranberry Township, PA; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who cherished his presence in their lives.
Bobby's wit and warmth touched everyone he met, leaving behind a legacy of laughter and love.
Friends will be received from 4-8 pm, Tuesday, October 14th, at Altmeyer Funeral Home, Lutes & Kirby-Vance Chapel, 118 Grant Avenue,
Moundsville, WV 26041. Memories & stories will be shared at 7:30 pm.
Liturgy of the Word will be held at the funeral home at 2 pm, Wednesday, October 15th, with Rev. Priyesh Sebastian officiating. Interment will follow in Riverview Cemetery,
Moundsville, WV.
