Brandon Scott Stevens, affectionately known as Brad, a beloved member of the Grand Ledge community, passed away on May 4, 2025, at the age of 47. Born on May 2, 1978, in Owosso, MI, Brad touched the lives of many through his warm spirit and infectious sense of humor. He was a proud graduate of Grand Ledge High School, Class of 1997, and spent over two decades as a dedicated bus operator for CATA, where he was known for his reliability and friendly demeanor.
Brad's passions extended beyond his career; he reveled in the great outdoors through fishing, bow hunting, and camping. His love for adventure was matched only by his deep commitment to youth sports, where he passionately coached and mentored young athletes. He understood the importance of teamwork and the positive impact it can have on children's lives.
A devoted family man, Brad cherished every moment spent with his wife, Patricia Stevens, and their wonderful children: Mikayla, Easton, Emma, Everett, Myryssa, Braxxton, and Huntlee. He took immense pride in his role as a father, and his spirit of encouragement and support will forever resonate with his family.
Brad also had a special niche for naming animals; Sheriff the Basset Hound and Turkey the Bulldog. He enjoyed the exhilaration of snowmobiling, and making memories with those he loved, filling the air with laughter and cheerful banter.
He is survived by his loving wife, Patricia (Tiedt); his parents, Larry and Pamela Stevens; his sisters Jennifer (Ben) Root and Amy (Ryan) Shaw; as well as his in-laws, Barbara and Thomas Ambs, and a long list of nieces and nephews who adored him; Olivia, Molly, Nolan, Jaxson, Remmy and Beau, as well as many others.
Brad's memory will be celebrated with a memorial service at Holihan-Atkin-Barclay Funeral Home, Grand Ledge on Saturday, May 10, 2025, at 11:00 am. Visitation will take place on Friday, May 9, 2025, from 2:00- 4:00 pm and 6:00-8:00 pm and Saturday from 10:00 am until the time of the service, providing an opportunity for friends and family to come together to honor the extraordinary life he led.
In remembrance of Brad's vibrant spirit and his impactful legacy, we invite all who knew and loved him to participate in these gatherings as we celebrate his life and the joy he brought to us all.
His laughter, kindness, and passion for life will be profoundly missed but will continue to live on in the hearts of those fortunate enough to have known him. Memorial contributions may be given to benefit Brad's children (Please make checks payable to Patricia Stevens). Share your memories and condolences online at www.holihanatkin.com
