Bruce Alan Hanlon

Bruce Alan Hanlon, 71, of Driftwood, Texas, entered into God's kingdom on July 1st, 2023. He was born on October 25, 1951 in Lubbock, Texas.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Rosemary Hanlon, and brother, Larry Franklin Hanlon.
Bruce is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Becky Van Rheen Hanlon; his dear son, Travis Hunter Hanlon, and his fiancé, Leslie Marie Garrett; his loving daughter, Jessica Rose Donovan, and her husband, Justin MacMillan Donovan; and his three grandchildren Dashiell Ryan Donovan (age 12), and twins MacMillan Trip Donovan and Mavis Mae Donovan (ages 2 years); his sister Debby Ann Hanlon Roberts.
After attending Westlake High School in Austin, Texas, Bruce joined the United States Army to serve his country from 1969 through 1972, which took him to Germany. He then was stationed at Fort Hood, Texas achieving the rank of Sargent (E5). Upon leaving the military, Bruce successfully graduated from an HVAC Program and worked for 40 years in the Austin area specializing in HVAC. He as well worked as a Maintenance Building Manager. For pleasure, Bruce earned his private pilot license.
Bruce had a very outgoing personality and a natural ability to make friends no matter the situation; and he always had many stories to share. Bruce's favorite pastime was fishing and he had a fish camp in the Lamar / St. Charles Bay coastal area for the last 30 years, where he spent many happy times with family and friends. Bruce will hold a special place in the hearts of his family and his many, many dear friends. Love in Christ.
