Bryan Vandergrift

Bryan Vandergrift, age 64, entered his heavenly home on March 19th, 2025 with 20/20 vision. He was welcomed by our savior and many loved ones. He was a beloved father, brother, friend, uncle and a long list of other aliases.
Bryan was born to James Arnold Vandergrift and Jennie Louise Wells Vandergrift on June 6th, 1960. Bryan was a devoted member of the Brighton Community. Bryan, along with his siblings, honored their parents legacy by serving the community with family owned and operated grocery stores and a restaurant. Bryan did not let his vision stop him from making the best sausage!
While Bryan had many accomplishments, he considered his greatest accomplishment born on November 20, 2000, Lainey Marie. Bryan was the ultimate dad. In Lainey's eyes, Bryan was in the hall of fame for best dads. No matter what adventure or activity Lainey did, Bryan was always there. Bryan and Lainey made many memories together that will be cherished forever.
If you needed advice, a laugh, or just a good conversation Bryan was always just a phone call away. Bryan is preceded in death by his parents, Arnold and Louise Vandergrift; niece, Emily Crocker Schmitz; and great niece, Sadie Lou McConnell.
Bryan is survived by his daughter, Lainey (Jonathan "JD") Maley; brother, Jimmy (Caren) Vandergrift; sister, Vannice Crocker; three stepsons, Hunter (Dawne) Edwards, Josh (Carlye) Smith, and Taylor (Lulu) Smith; four nieces, Joelle (Roger) May, Jennie (Sam) McConnell, Valerie Carver, and Sarah Crocker and many beloved family and friends.
A Celebration of Life for Bryan Vandergrift will be at Brighton Baptist Church, 132 E Woodlawn Ave Brighton, TN on April 5th 2025. The family will receive visitors from 11 am - 1 pm.
