Carl Brady Reed November 17, 1955 – December 29, 2024
Following a courageous battle with Stage 4 pancreatic cancer, Carl Brady Reed of Roy, Utah, passed away on Sunday, December 29, 2024, at the age of 69.
Born in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, on November 17, 1955, Carl excelled in multiple sports and enjoyed visiting the Boys Club with his brother Joe. After graduating, he attended the University of Central Arkansas for about a year before marrying his first wife, Virginia Diane, and joining the Air Force. During his service, he earned a Master's degree in Computer Science from the University of Phoenix. Carl traveled and lived in many countries, earning the rank of Master Sergeant (E-7) and serving in Desert Storm before retiring after 20 years of distinguished service.
Carl's second marriage to Brenda began on November 18, 2019. He and Brenda's life was filled with joy, concerts, fishing, and camping. His favorite hobbies included astrophotography, bass fishing, playing his guitars, canning (his pickles and candied Jalapenos will be missed) and camping near his cherished fishing spots, He is survived by his beloved pets: Lucky, Zoe, and his cockatiel, Larky.
He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Brenda; his previous wife, Diane; his children: Robert (Britney) and Christopher (Jennika); his grandchildren: Gabriel (Lucas), Damien, Gavin, Jude, Marek, Kaebrie, Leighton, and London; his siblings: Joe (Tina), Jean (Bill), Merri (Stephen), and Michael; and numerous nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
Carl was preceded in death by his parents, Bobby Gene Reed and Alice Jane Reed.
A Visitation will be held Monday, January 20, 2025 at Myers Mortuary in Roy, Utah, beginning at 10 AM, with Military Honors at 11:45 AM.
