Obituary of Carol Jean Cheeseman
Carol Jean Cheeseman peacefully passed away February 6th after 2 years of the onset of dementia. After falling and breaking her shoulder at home, rehabilitating at Minnewaska Lutheran Home in Starbuck, onset of dementia, forced a transfer to Glenwood Retirement home so her nieces could better administer the best care for her, friends could visit, and she could look after the lake every day. After receiving a degree in art at St Cloud State, she enjoyed Chicago living and being manager of a nationally known photography studio before returning to Glenwood to care for her ailing father. She enjoyed chauffeuring him around the country, and enjoyed hosting a few months stay of her niece, Kim, to fulfill her MT student teaching requirements at Norgaard Elementary. She enjoyed antiquing, gardening, becoming a Master Gardener, furthered her love of gourmet cooking, helped administer the Glenwood Farmers Market, and always loved having dogs, especially Nara. Her twin brother, older by 8 minutes, fondly remembers the years of walking the 8 blocks for 12 years of public schooling, of being in band and relative's gatherings. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Eleanor Cheeseman and her sister Joann Cheeseman Morett. She is survived by her twin brother, Robert and sister-in-law Elizabeth of Nolensville, TN, niece, Kim Spruill and Allen Spruill, Nolensville, TN nephew Rob Cheeseman and Sarah Cheeseman, daughter Addison, Glen Ellyn, IL, niece Necole Bahr and Gary Bahr Somerset, WI, niece Jodi Goodale and Mike Goodale, Palm City, FL.

Carol "Cheese" met in Chicago in April 1974. We became good pals. Together along with BL we loved to go treasure hunting. We would dance the night away at Dugan's Bistro and The Snake Pit two local clubs in our neighborhood. After I moved to Atlanta she visited me twice and on one of the visits she brought her father. Sad to say, the last time I spoke to her in the rest home she had no clue who I was. One thing we had in common was or age. Jim Blythe
