Carol F. Davis aged 80, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 22, 2024. Born on March 15, 1944, in Bloomington, Illinois, Carol was the beloved daughter of Cliff Lane and Ruby Arbuckle. She was preceded in death by her husband and father of her children, Dave Davis, as well as her grandsons, Matthew and Austin Davis, and her dear companion of 32 years, Sidney Jacobs.
Carol leaves behind a legacy of love and family. She is survived by her adoring children: Rick (April) Davis, David (Lori) Davis, Diane (Bobby) Bischoff, Daryle (Mary) Davis, Andrea Kahler, Alicia Davis, and Sean (Kellie) Davis. Her family also includes 15 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild; Siblings, Jimmy, Sandy, and Gary, all of whom were central to her heart. Carol also leaves memories with her extended family and friends that will miss her dearly.
A true matriarch, Carol poured her love into her family, taking immense pride in the successes of her children and grandchildren. She was not only a mother to her own but embraced many as her children throughout her life, known for her nurturing spirit and giving nature. Carol enjoyed cooking and baking, often gathering loved ones around her table to celebrate special moments, especially during the joyful holiday seasons. Another one of her passions was working in her yard; she absolutely loved tending to her flower garden.
Visitation will be held from 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm on Saturday, January 4th, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel (10304 Dixie Hwy). A Funeral Service will take place at 5:00 pm on the same day, honoring Carol's beautiful life and the love she shared.
The family kindly requests that contributions be made in Carol’s memory to the KY Humane Society or St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital. Those wishing to share a memory of Carol or leave a special message for her family are invited to sign the guestbook below.
Carol's warmth and kindness will be deeply missed, but her spirit will forever live on in the hearts of those she touched.
