Cecelia Agnes Fowler, 94, of Evansville, passed away Monday, May 26, 2025 at Ascension St. Vincent Hospital. She passed away just four days before her 95th birthday. Cecelia was born May 29, 1930 in Evansville to the late Cecelia M. (Ebelhar) and Fred Kaelin.
Cecelia was a 1948 graduate of Memorial High School. She worked for P&I Supply and Mead Johnson before devoting her time to raise her family. She was a devout Catholic and served at St. Benedict Cathedral in many ways including, as a heavenly duster. Cecelia and her late husband, Henry, earned the Simon Brut award for their dedicated service to the parish. She loved gardening and spending time with her family. Cecelia's caring and loving soul will be missed by all her knew her. May God welcome her into His Kingdom.
She is survived by her sons, Paul Fowler of Plantation, FL and David Fowler of Evansville; grandson, Devin Conner; great granddaughter, Alexis; sisters, Rita Grooms, Anita Schroering and Helen Felice; sister-in-law, Joan Neel; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Cecelia was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Fowler; brothers, Frances Kaelin and John Kaelin; and sister, Mary Otte.
Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Sunday, June 1, 2025 at Ziemer Funeral Home, 800 S. Hebron Ave., Evansville. Visitation will continue from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. Monday, June 2, 2025 at St. Benedict Cathedral, 1328 Lincoln Ave., Evansville. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:00 a.m. at the church with Father Ted Tempel officiating.
Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery.
