Celia Strother, 84, of Grayson, KY, passed away Thursday, July 31, 2025, at UK King's Daughters Medical Center in Ashland, KY. She was born May 19, 1941, in Olongapo City, Philippines, a daughter of the late Luis Jose Coll and Leonora Otero Coll.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a brother, Luis Otero Coll Jr., and a sister, Lani Estalilla.
Celia was a member of St. John and Elizabeth Catholic Church in Grayson. She was a homemaker, loving wife, mother, and grandmother.
Celia is survived by her husband, Jack Strother Jr.; a son, Mark (Krista) Strother of Grayson; a daughter, Lisa (Mark) Griffith of Union, KY; four grandchildren, Matthew (Claudia) Strother of Lexington, KY, Mary Kate (Austin) Haley of Eden, NC, Nathan Griffith and Wendy Griffith of Union, KY; and a sister, Angelita Ramirez of Wheaton, IL.
Funeral services will be on Sunday, August 3, 2025 at 3:00 P.M. at St. John and Elizabeth Catholic Church. Burial will follow in the Hillcrest Cemetery in Grayson.
Visitation will be Saturday, August 2, 2025, from 6:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. at the Sparks Funeral Home.
