Charles Anthony Cino III
April 17th, 1983 - April 7th, 2025
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved son Charles Anthony Cino III. Charles, best known to all who knew and loved him as Charlie and Funco (Fun Uncle), was born on April 17th, 1983 to Charles and Lorraine Cino of Southbury, CT.
Charlie's greatest joy in life was spending time with his family and friends, to whom he was incredibly dedicated and loyal. He is remembered by his parents Charles Anthony Cino Jr. and Lorraine Cino; his siblings Matthew Cino and Valerie Cino, Krystelle Cino, and Heather Cino; as well as his most beloved niece and nephew Ava Cino and Kai Cino. Charlie also lives on through his six aunts and uncles, and twelve cousins. He was predeceased by his paternal Grandparents Charles Anthony Cino, Sr. and Elvira Cino, as well as his Maternal Grandmother Lorraine Cardinal and Aunt Rosemary Higginson.
Charles was a supernova who shined warmth and light everywhere he went. Standing six feet three inches and two hundred pounds, he was a mountain of a man who was so gentle, compassionate and childlike at heart. Charles was a generous person who would go out of his way for anyone and was always on the lookout for the perfect gift to brighten your day. He was an animal lover and advocate, always having one of his best buddies he would adopt as a rescue dog or cat by his side. Charlie was a lifelong Patriots fan. He enjoyed fishing, hiking, trading cards, watching movies, travelling, spending time in Vermont and was an avid bird watcher.
Charlie was also the founding "father" and "brother" of the much cherished "Guy's Night" and a chair will be reserved in his honor at the poker table.
A private memorial will be held to honor the man, the life and the love for Charlie at a later time and date.
In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his honor to the ASPCA (American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals) https://www.ASPCA.org/

So very sorry for your loss. Charlie was a handsome young man who we had the pleasure of meeting at the family reunion last fall. He will be missed by those family and friends who are left behind. RIP Charlie
