Charles Dale Obituary

Charles Michael Dale, age 81, of Evansville, Indiana passed away peacefully on Monday, February 27, 2023 at Ascension St. Vincent in Evansville In. Mike was born to Charles and Lilly (Ashby) Dale on June 15, 1941, in Evansville IN. 
Mike was a 1959 graduate of Bosse High School, where he played 4 years of football. Shortly after graduation, Mike enlisted and served 6 years for the U.S. Marine Corps. Mike, aka ‘Garfield’ (his radio handle) retired after 40 years of driving for Heubner & Sons Trucking Co. Post retirement, Mike worked with his late son, Darrell, at Prolam Products and Tablelogix. Mike was an avid fisherman and a fan of his beloved Chicago Bears and the University of Evansville, Purple Aces. Mike loved going to games with his boys and spending time with the family. 
Mike is survived by his sister Marlene Henisen (Jim), of Springfield KY, three Grandsons: Jacob, Aaron, and Lucas Dale; Granddaughter, Jordan Elizabeth Dale, Daughter-in-law, Cindy (Wright) Dale, Nephew, Andrew Scales (Cheyanne); Sisters-in-law, Pat Dale, Judy Hill, and Lynn Wall, and a close friend, Gordon (Jeanette) Sachtjen, as well as several Nieces, Nephews, and Friends. 
Mike is preceded in death by his father Charles and mother Lilly Dale; ex-wife Betty (Walden) Dale; his two sons, Charles Rodney, and Darrell Christopher Dale; Brother, Darrell Eugene Dale, Nephew, James Dale Henisen, Grandparents, as well as many, Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins. 
Visitation services will be held at Titzer Family Funeral Home, on Saturday, March 4, 2023, from 12pm-4pm with a Celebration of life following at 4:00pm, in the Miller and Miller Colonial Chapel, both located at 100 E. Columbia St. Evansville, IN (812) 424-9288
Memorial contributions at the request of the family are to be made to the funeral home.
