Cheryl Yvette Nix, 69, Martinsville, passed peacefully from her earthly life Sunday, August 7, 2022, at her home with loved ones by her side. Her life began Wednesday, July 1, 1953, in Martinsville, Indiana when she was born to the late Clifford and Jacqueline (Selburg) Heidenreich.
She was a Martinsville High School graduate with the Class of 1971. Cheryl retired from Harmon-Motive in Martinsville, and she was also a dedicated homemaker, wife, mother, grandmother, and sister.
In her spare time, she enjoyed fishing with her husband and time shared with her grandchildren. She was so looking forward to the birth of her first great grandchild.
On March 4, 1972, she married her high school sweetheart, Charles W. "Bill" Nix, together they shared two children, Charles W. "Billy" Nix (wife, Kim) and Cheri McFarland (husband, Randy) all of Martinsville. She is also survived by her twin sister, Carol Walton of Martinsville; brothers, Clifford and Dave Heidenreich of Martinsville and Dana Heidenreich (wife, Kim) of Mooresville and six grandchildren, Cailin (Nix) Showalter (husband, Josh), Jessica, Will, Aleysia and Jace Nix and Loudon McFarland.
She was preceded in death by her parents and granddaughter, Laura Nix.
Family and friends are invited to visit Friday, August 12,2022 from 6:00-8:00 pm at Neal & Summers Funeral & Cremation Center. In honoring Cheryl's wishes, her earthly remains will be cremated prior to visitation.
