Christian Anthony Wessling

Christian Anthony Wessling, 32, of Plymouth passed away on Thursday, March 13, 2025. Born in Falmouth, beloved son of Anissa (Wessling) Brown and Curtis Brown Sr. of Taunton MA.
Christian attended Catholic schools, St. Margaret's in Buzzards Bay, then graduated from Bishop Stang High School, Dartmouth, MA where he was a member of the football team. He played the guitar, and keyboard, and was always at work creating music, and cooking, two of his great interests. A Catholic, his deep spirituality went hand in hand with his love of nature. Always outdoors walking, hiking, camping, rafting, and traveling. His smile, laugh, thoughtfulness, sensitivity, the warmth and light he brought to others, is immeasurable.
He spent his youth working as an interpreter at the Plimoth Patuxet Museum, and later at the tribal oyster farm. He had the opportunity to travel to England as part of the retelling of the story of Wampanoag interpreter, Squanto.
To remember Chris is to know his deep love, encouragement, free spirit, uplifting energy and effects he's had on countless people, his family and friends. Many of them from childhood and later in his young adult life. As a proud Native American, he was a member of the Mashpee Wampanoag Tribe, many of whom were extended family.
Dear brother to Michael Wessling Gomes of E. Falmouth, Curtis Brown Jr., Tyler, Theodore, Maxwell, Nicholas, Lillian, Olivia, Marcus and Noah Brown all of Taunton MA. Adored grandson to Gail Wessling of Waqouit, Paul Wessling and Frank Perry of E. Falmouth. Nephew of Kellen Wessling of E. Falmouth. Predeceased by grandfather Peter F. Hendricks. Christian ascends to the glorious gates of Heaven, leaving with us his dear companion, Karyelle Brennan of Plymouth, along with many more of his loved family members and friends.
Visitation will be held at the Old Indian Meeting House, 410 Meetinghouse Road, Mashpee on Monday, March 24, 2025 from 10AM-12PM. Services will begin at 12PM. Burial will follow at the Old Indian Cemetery, Mashpee.
Repast following the burial at Tribal Government Ctr. 483 Great Neck Rd. South, Mashpee.
