Christopher John "Cj" Conroe

With profound sadness we announce the passing of Christopher John Conroe, known to many as CJ at the age of 35. A loving husband devoted big brother, and cherished son. C.J.'s heart was filled with kindness and an endless capacity for love. CJ found joy in the simple pleasures of life; exploring the outdoors, writing poetry and cooking for those he loved. His heart, laugh and adventurous spirit touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. He was born in Erie on April 12, 1989, a son of Carol (Minnis) Hanes and David Conroe. Christopher, formerly of Greene Twp., was currently living in Mercer where he was a chef at the Tara Country Inn.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather Robert Conroe, and three grandmothers, Anne Conroe, Shirley Minnis and Rita Altman.
He is survived by his wife, Bryn (Lindeman) Conroe, with whom he was with for over six years, his mother Carol Hanes and her husband Bob; father, David Conroe and his wife Tammy; his siblings Katelyn Conroe and Eric Conroe and his wife Kimberli; two nieces whom he adored, Hailey and Harper Conroe and many extended family members that loved him dearly.
