Clifford Dennis “Denny” Englehardt, of Elberfeld, IN, passed away on Friday, October 20th, 2023, at Ascension St. Vincent Hospital in Evansville Indiana. He was born on November 21st, 1949, to the late Clifford and Leona (Kohlmeyer) Englehardt.
Denny attended Tecumseh High School. He was a general laborer and the number one wrapper for 20 years at J&H. Denny was an avid runner, he participated in numerous races both long and short including 4 marathons and a biathlon. When his arthritis became worse, he turned to bicycling where he rode 34 miles a day 4 days a week. Those who knew him knew he was doing what he truly loved. Denny loved his wife, children, and grandchildren dearly and he will be greatly missed.
Denny is survived by his wife of 52 years, Sharon (Wittenberg) Englehardt; son, Jamie (Jamie) Englehardt; daughter, Nicole Englehardt; grandchildren, Jordan, Justin, Jenna, Remington, Wyatt, Matthew, Eli; siblings, Ronnie (Lisa) Englehardt, Angie (Jeff) Sympson, Debbie (Owen) Schwartz, Larry (Sharon) Englehardt, Mark Englehardt, Ken Englehardt, Barry (Tracie) Englehardt; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clifford, and Leona (Kohlmeyer) Englehardt; sister-in-law, Patty Englehardt.
Denny’s wishes were to be cremated, there will be no services.
