Cori worked at the Pec Cafe and Sunrise Family Restaurant, but she always had a special place in her heart for the senior community. She enrolled in the nursing program, made the Dean's List and at the age of 42 graduated in the top of her class as an RN. Cori then went to work with the elderly at St. Anne's place where she had been employed for the last 15 years.
Cori loved horses and an avid fan of horse racing was also an avid Green Bay Packers fan,, but the love of her life was her dog Fuzzy Butt, who she took with her everywhere she went.
Survivors include Parents Edward Shipman and Barbara Smith; sisters Christine (Scott Wiedel) Shipman and Carline (Karla Murfin) Shipman and many Aunts, Uncles, cousins and friends and her dog.
She was preceded in death by Grandparents, step-father Dr. L. Randall Smith, step brother and sister.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
