Damari Q. Sanders

Damari 'Chubbs' Sanders, age 3, passed away peacefully surrounded by family and friends on July 3rd, 2022, at the University Of Iowa Hospital. Though his time with his family was short, he touched many lives and was loved deeply by those around him.
Damari was born on September 11, 2018, in Iowa City, Iowa, to his Mom, Tamika Sanders. He was the second oldest of three. Damari was, without a doubt, the most energetic, sweet, and loving child the world could ask for. Those who knew Damari, even just a little, lost a shining light in their lives. At the tender age of 3, Damari was bright and full of life; he brought so much joy to the lives of everyone closest to him, and he will truly be missed.
Known to everyone who loved him as 'Chubbs,' he loved to argue, play with his two brothers, Xavier and Samir, make his baby cousin Miracle laugh, do TikToks, dance with his shirt off, watch Alien T.V., Disney movies, play his Ps3, go to the park, to the lake, eat junk food, and being around family & friends. Chubbs was known for his enormous heart and an even bigger smile and was loved by many wherever he went.

Eyes that twinkle sunshine
A face that breaks your heart

Funeral services will occur at the Resurrection Assembly of God Church in Iowa City on the 16th of July, 2022, at 3:00 pm.
